Providenciales Art Event – January 2016

Building a Strong and Resourceful Community Through Art

The Caribbean evening breeze warms participants in cocktail attire as they sip glasses of cool champagne and nibble on canapes at this Providenciales art event featuring an exclusive collection of island art. However, this is one event in which the participants not only gain wonderful memories but leave a legacy of hope and opportunity for island youth.

An Evening of Art on Providenciales

An Exclusive Evening of Art on Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands is an event which will benefit one local non profit organization whose mission and goals are anything but exclusive.

The festivities kick off at 6:00 pm with complimentary welcome champagne and delicious beautifully made canapes from Amanyara, prize giveaways, an art show and a live auction. There is a cash bar and a variety of drink specials available. The art show will reflect the works of specially chosen local artists as well as an international guest artist. Proceeds from the evening festivities go toward a new music studio for the Youth Centre.

Edward C. Gartland Youth Centre

The January 30th event is organized to benefit the Edward C. Gartland Youth Centre whose objective is to give youth, no matter their religious, ethnic or heritage backgound, the information, skills and services they need to make healthy, safe decisions and deal with daily life. The centre is a thriving place where young people gain skills, make friendships, access valuable information, meet mentors and find a springboard towards a happy successful future.

Tickets cost $150. For detailed information contact Bianca Harvey at 649-331-8408 or call 649-331-9602 or email roxann@ecgyouthcentre.com

Event Coordinators

An Exclusive Evening of Art is at its heart an event that is coordinated by the local island community to enrich and strengthen the outreach to its youth members. Sponsors include Amanyara Resort, Turks and Caicos Sotheby’s International Realty and Gilley Enterprises. Gilley founder Galmo “Gilley” Williams is one of the founders of the Turks and Caicos Aids Awareness Foundation and was one of the visionaries behind the Youth Centre. Williams has known Edward Gartland, for whom the centre is named, for many years.

It’s a Providenciales art event. It’s a celebration of community. It’s an opportunity to come together to support the young people of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
