Our happy guests are the best advertising
January 22nd, 2010Sometimes it’s best if you let your satisfied customers do the marketing for you. We are proud of the positive comments we get from our guests, many of whom are pleasantly surprised at the high level of service and quality they get at Villa del Mar at such a great value. Here’s one we got recently from a guest from Toronto:
Excellent choice! Beautiful and first class in every way. Only heated pool on the island. Very quiet and clean but short walk to night life, casino, restaurants and the beach. Most beautiful beach I have ever experienced. Units are very tastefully decorated.
Humpback Whales Visit TCI
January 14th, 2010One of nature’s most dramatic shows is on display every winter in the waters just off the Turks and Caicos Islands. It is the annual migration of humpback whales that pass by here on their way to their winter breeding grounds in the Dominican Republic. These graceful and majestic giants are a wonder to behold, and come close by all of our islands.
The best viewing is in the Columbus Passage that separates Grand Turk and Salt Cay from the rest of our islands. The Turks Head passage, near Salt Cay is one of the best places to see one of these magnificent creatures between the months of February and April. Day trips on Saturdays are available to Salt Cay flying with Air Turks and Caicos for $130, leaving Provo at 7am and returning at 4:30pm.
But even the scuba and snorkel operators in Provo see the whales every year as they gently surface and glide through the waters. Observing the humpbacks is reason enough to pay us a visit between December and February, which is when they visit us.
